A Podiatrist Reviews Forme’s Arch Booster Socks—Are Arch Support Socks Worth the Hype?

Every so often, a product suddenly starts popping up everywhere.

Patients ask me about it. Social media fills up with reviews and testimonials. Before long, everyone wants to know whether it's actually worth trying.

Lately, one of those products has been arch support socks.

If you're anything like me, your first reaction might be a little skepticism.

After all, how much support can a sock really provide?

That's why Forme's Arch Booster Socks caught my attention. Rather than focusing primarily on cushioning or comfort, they’re designed around support, alignment, and foot mechanics.

If the company already sounds familiar, it may be because they’ve been getting some extra attention lately. You may have heard of Forme after reports that Taylor Swift wore one of the brand's posture-support products while preparing for the Eras Tour.

Celebrity endorsements alone aren't enough to get my attention or secure my recommendation. But products that claim to improve support and alignment do make me curious, especially when they come from a company with a strong focus on biomechanics and movement.

So let's take a closer look.

An Overview of the Forme Brand

Forme is a health and wellness company built around a simple but compelling idea: the way your body is positioned and supported influences how you move, feel, and perform throughout the day.

Unlike many brands that focus primarily on comfort or athletic performance, Forme has built its identity around posture, alignment, and biomechanics. Their product lineup includes bras, shirts, apparel, and socks designed to encourage better positioning and body awareness during everyday activities.

That's part of what makes this month's Footwear Focus pick a little different. While I typically review shoes, boots, sandals, and other foot-specific products, Forme takes a more whole-body approach. Their Arch Booster Socks are just one piece of a larger lineup designed to support movement from head to toe.

I also appreciate that Forme doesn't market its products as quick fixes. Instead, the company emphasizes helping people move more efficiently—a much more realistic approach than promising dramatic transformations.

As a podiatrist, I'm always interested in products that encourage people to think more intentionally about movement and support. That's what initially made me curious about Forme—and specifically about their Arch Booster Socks.

A Closer Look at Forme Arch Booster Socks

At first glance, Forme's Arch Booster Socks may not look dramatically different from other performance or athletic socks.

The biggest difference lies in the role they're designed to play.

Rather than focusing primarily on cushioning or moisture management, these socks are built around targeted arch support. The design applies gentle compression through the midfoot to provide additional structure and support where many people experience fatigue during long days on their feet.

Forme positions these socks as part of its broader focus on posture, body awareness, and efficient movement. Rather than simply making your feet feel more comfortable, they're designed to support the way your body moves from the ground up.

Of course, a sock isn't going to replace a well-designed orthotic or completely change the way your feet move. But additional support and sensory feedback may improve comfort for some people during everyday activities—which made me curious to see how these socks would perform in the real world.

What Customers and Foot Health Professionals Are Saying

One thing I especially enjoy about this series is getting to compare my own experience with what other people are saying.

Overall, people seem to have good things to say about Forme's Arch Booster Socks.

  • Many customers describe them as comfortable, supportive, and easy to wear throughout the day.

  • Athletes, healthcare workers, travelers, and people who spend long hours on their feet frequently mention feeling less foot fatigue and more overall comfort during extended periods of standing and walking.

  • Another common theme was that the support felt noticeable without being overly restrictive. Many reviewers described the effect as subtle—something some people appreciated, while others wished was more pronounced. That didn't surprise me, sincance foot support is rarely one-size-fits-all.

Other podiatrists and foot health professionals expressed a similarly balanced view. Most don't see products like these as replacements for custom orthotics or medical treatment, but many appreciate the idea of providing additional arch support for people who spend long hours on their feet.

After reading those reviews, I was curious to see where I'd land.

My Personal Experience With Forme’s Arch Booster Socks

I must admit—I  had a much different experience with these socks than I expected.

The first few times I wore them around the house and during everyday activities, they were comfortable but not especially remarkable. I did notice that when my feet were already feeling a little sore, the added compression felt nice—similar to the way compression socks can provide relief after a long day.

The real surprise came when I decided to run in them.

Within about five minutes, I developed foot pain. At first, I assumed I was just having an off day or that my running shoes were starting to wear out. It wasn't until I ran the same route the next morning in the same shoes—but wearing my usual socks—that the discomfort disappeared.

My best guess is that the additional compression through the arch changed my foot mechanics just enough to affect the way I run. It also may have become less comfortable once my feet naturally began swelling during exercise.

That experience completely changed my perspective.

Rather than recommending these socks for workouts or running, I actually see more value in wearing them after activity or on days when your feet simply feel tired and achy.

In some ways, they remind me of minimalist shoes. They may be beneficial in the right situations, but more isn't always better.

Overall, I wasn't especially impressed with how they performed during exercise. But they did reinforce something I tell patients all the time: the best support is the support that works for your individual feet and the way you move.

Are Forme Arch Booster Socks Worth the Hype?

My final verdict? I do think they have their place.

What I appreciate most isn't just the socks themselves.. It's the company's broader approach to posture, movement, and body awareness—and the fact that they aren't promising miracle results.

My own experience taught me that these socks worked better as a recovery tool than as something I'd wear while running. That may not be everyone's experience, but it reinforces an important lesson: no single product works for every foot or every activity.

If you've been curious about arch support socks, I think Forme's Arch Booster Socks are worth considering—as long as your expectations match what they're designed to do.

And if you're wondering what kind of support is right for your feet, I'd be happy to help you better understand your foot mechanics and recommend solutions that fit the way you move.
